It was a great week to be a Wrangler Fan! The HS boys bball team beat a trio of 4A Sophomore teams to go 3-0; the HS girls lost a close game to Cody's freshmen, but beat two 4A Sophomore teams, and Meeteetse to 3-1 on the weekend. The HS wrestling team went to Powell with the inaugural tournament for girls' wrestling in Wyoming. Abrianna Kiser, Pehton Truempler and Ethan Tarango all took 1st, Brueklyn Truempler took 2nd, Lacoda Kiser and Branson Thompson took 3rd, and Julian Cabello took 5th in their respective weight classes!!
The coming week features the Wrangler Invitational Basketball Tournament where you can watch 36 great matchups from Thursday-Saturday! The Wranglers and Lady Blue play at 4:30/6pm on Thursday, 9/10:30 am on Friday and 5:30/7pm on Saturday. The student/athletes would LOVE to see and hear your support!! The JH wrestling team did very well at their conference tournament with all the 8th grade boys placing in the top 3! The Youth girls played well in Basin and lost a close one against Riverside. The JH girls took 4th in Cowley but showed their heart in a 1 point loss to the #1 ranked grizzlies team in the semifinals! Please congratulate the athletes and coaches on a fantastic season!! We will celebrate the success of JH/Y sports (football, volleyball, wrestling and girls basketball) on Tuesday, December 13 at 6pm in the commons. Parents and athletes are encouraged to attend, Dominos Pizza will be provided.

Miss Sally and her concession crew also purchased 10 turkeys, Contango and employees donated $500 for the Wrangler Pack Thanksgiving baskets, and Tri-Valley 4H Club donated an additional two Thanksgiving baskets for Wrangler families!!

The HS football team represented Wrangler Nation very well in Laramie on Saturday and came home with the State Runner-Up trophy! This group of senior football players would like to thank their football coaches over the years from RJFL flag football: Charlie DeWitt, to RJFL/SJFL junior tackle Shawn Steffen and Tom Linnan, to RJFL/SJFL senior tackle Jordan Whitener, to Junior High Marty Weber and Benji Fullmer to their High School years with Tony Truempler, Drew Peregoy, Jody Good, Max Mills, Toby Wood, and JJ Pingetzer. This has been an incredible run for these young men!
